Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are many things that can cause the a/c to blow hot air. The problem could be with the compressor itself, a restriction in the system, the control head, an inaccurate pressure signal, evaporator or ambient temperature sensor signals, or charge may be low. The most common cause for an a/c performance issue is low charge.

Does the compressor engage?

It works again..i unbuttoned the AC. What about the chain belt sign? Isn't it supposed to be permanent?

Check Engine light was on. So I asked a mechanic. He told me that there's an issue with my chain belt.
