I drained my battery so I required a jump start. When cables

Customer Question

hello. I drained my battery so I required a jump start. When cables hooked up, I had no elec at all. Eventually, it cranked, barely, and started. Well sort of, it start in very low RPM, and without any dashboard gauges. Got it in gear and it barely rolled along to the garage. Any ideas.
JA: How old is the battery? Have you checked the battery gauge on the dash?
Customer: Three years old. But strong
JA: What is the model/year of your Lexus?
Customer: 2005 ls430 with 115K
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Thought I would clean the posts really well, Recently one post corrodes badly. Cleaned it twice now. Then thought I would trickle charge the battery overnight
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: no
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Lexus Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.
