Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. Please allow me to assist you. The easiest thing would be to pull a fuse or relay from under the hood. Would that be an acceptable defeat? If so, please reply and I will give you the specifics. Thanks.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I think so. Can you walk me through that?
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I don't know where that is.
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

Ok. The easiest thing to do here is open the hood and locate the fuse panel. Can you do that at the moment?

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

please advise of the year of the GX 460 Thanks

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
2013

OK. At the top left of the fuse panel in the engine compartment, there are 3 columns of fuses. Do you see them?

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

We want to focus on the right most column of the 3 columns

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

The bottom fuse in the right column should have the number 30 on it

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Under the hood?
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

skip that fuse, and the next fuse above it (or there might not be a fuse there/an open slot). The next fuse (the 3rd slot counting all of them form the bottom of the right column is the one we want. It has a 15 on it. This is the Fuel Pump fuse. If you pull it the fuel pump will not run and the car will not start.

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

yes under the hood. Black box.

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

Driver side. Rather large.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I can't find the fuse panel
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

big black box mounted to the inside of the driver side fender. About 1/2 way back form the headlamp

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I think I found it but can't open it
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

There is a tab or latch that must be manipulated to open it

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

They can be tight if never opened before.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I can't figure out how the tabs work
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

Can you take a picture of the tabs and upload it? I will walk you thru it.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Trying
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

The first picture is not where the tabs are. The panel opens opposite that view

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

take a pic of the other side of the panel in image #1

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

Press the tab inward and lift the lid.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Now what?
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

Well Done. On the panel, you see at the top left a pink colored plastic thing with a clear plastic window? That is the column we need.

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

...actually, it is more in the center...

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
This one?
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

Perfect. The fuse with the 15 on it, at the bottom of the picture is the one you need to pull out. It will be the one right above the spot where it looks like a fuse is missing.

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

If you look to the left of the fuses, on the far left side, there is a set of white tweezers that is used to pull the fuses.

Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

Right under the 2 blue rectangular boxes. Left side.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
If I just replace the fuse, will the car start?
Expert:  Toyota Service replied 11 months ago.

If you pull that fuse out, the car will not start. It will start when you put the fuse back. Just make sure you put it back in the right slot. The other empty slot in that column is not for that fuse; it is designed to be empty.
