Drilling out or otherwise damaging the trunk lock cylinder or trunk lid are options to get it open and retrieve the key, but you would be better off contacting a locksmith. A locksmith or dealer should be able to cut a key using the VIN along with proof of ownership. This would be cheaper and easier than damaging the trunk lid or lock cylinder and having to replace parts.
