Lexus LX470: Back door won't unlock

Customer Question

I cannot get my back door to unlock it's moving and making sounds but it will not unlock. I have tried using the key and the remote. It is wiggling a lot and making noise, but I can not get it to open. I try to force it open but it won't.

I am sorry for the delay in getting a response to you. Sometimes we get alot of customers and just can not keep up. Hi You have described a damaged lock/latch linkage or either is faulty. We need to get the interior door trim off or at least pried out to gain access to the latch and get the lift gate manually opened to work on it from the open position. Are these things you feel comfortable doing?It may take me 1-2-3-etc... responses to get the information I need resulting in giving you the answer you need. I can't read minds nor have a magic wand, & I'm not there to see, smell, feel, or hear so I need good information to return a good answer. My normal hours online are 3pm-3am.
