I had my car ls430 2001 in to shift timing belt in toyota garage. Now the light for smart key lights red instead of green. Everythihg works unless smartkey funksions.

Hello and Welcome to JustAnswer. The smart key system was not released here in the US until 2004. Assuming it is the same system there is a smart key cancel button under the drivers side dash. You will have to get under the dash to see the button. Make sure it is in the on position.
