My son is looking to buy a 2012 Explorer(, the one that gets the best gas mileage.) Would you recommend this car?

They dont get the mileage advertised and just seem poorly made as compared to previous years and othe models.In the price range of the 2012 Explorer, I would either go with a 2012 Toyota 4runner, Toyota Highlander, or the Nissan Xterra. Hi,Depending upon all the options, the 4runner gets around 18 in city and 24 on highway and the Highlander around 22 city and 26 highwayThe Xterra is around 15 city and 20 highway.

Hi,Oh, ok.4runner is 17 city, 23hwy for 4wd and 18city and 24highway for 2wd. not much differenceHighlander is 20 city and 24 highway for 4wd and 22 city and 26 highway for 2wd. again, not much difference.
