This is a nightmare of a job on your car. You must remove both the upper and lower intake manifolds to access the starter on this car and due to age many wire connectors and hoses become very brittle and are prone to breaking. Click the 2 links I loaded to below to access detailed instructions:
If you take this to a shop average repair bill is around $1,000. If you tackle this yourself be sure that you have new upper and lower intake manifold gaskets ready and also be sure to have a shop vac to clean dirt from around the intake area as you disassemble.
