i am applying to become an emt in the state of texas.on the application it asks the question "have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor''.i have 2 class c's.one was about 23 years ago and the second was about 18 years ago.i did not go to court for either one. one citation was mailed to me.when i applied for my concealed handgun license last year i tried to find records of these class c's but i was told by both police departments that they had no record for me at all.i received my chl w/out any issues.my question pertains to the fbi & forthcoming background check...will these class c's show up?

Is there a law that says that 2nd Cousins "cannot" get married?

My older sister has just become one of the inheritors of a small portion of our mother's property entailing my mother's primary residence (a small condo) and 25% ownership in the building housing a commercial business (both have renters in them now) but my sister does not yet have a trust set up. Her inheritance is not substantial, but enough to suppliment her meager retirement on Social Security. What kind of trust would my sister need to set up to avoid having any decreases (due to inheritance) in her invalid husband's medical costs? They just refinanced their own home--and they own it as Joint Tenants with the Right of Survivorship. The key issue here is that he's getting a military pension as a retired private in the Army (and was never wounded in battle). He's had 2 strokes and is in a wheel chair (etc)--and his medical costs are sky high. We don't want to rock the boat with his MediCare, etc....(They have 2 grown daughters, but at this point, I'd like to avoid passing the inheritance to them. They have their own needs to avoid showing any inheritance at this time in their lives.)
