I retired April 29th 2016, I will go under a retirement insurance that was negotiated on the last contract with a 25000 lifetime cap. Does federal law supersede this cap?

JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: ?
JA: What confuses you?

Federal has a 25,000 social security income cap for it to be tax free

Hi. I am checking - thank you for confirming.

Expert:  ABC Accounting replied 3 months ago.

Hi. There is no such cap in Federal. Social Security retirement is run by the Federal government, not by the state.

When I asked my question I thought I was contacting a attorney about health insurance law not tax laws

I will opt out and refer this to a Law expert. Thank you.
