Back in 2006 my ex Fiance' offered to buy me a house as a gift. The house was for $1,200,000.00 I wasn't working at the time and my name was the only name on the contract
. Seven months later I had to sell the house because we had a falling out and he stopped paying for everything. I was able to sell the House for 1,300,000.00. Since I wasn't in the house that long the Assessors fiqured out the taxes after escrow closed and I never received the notice and now two weeks ago the county tax called me after almost 9 years and said I owe $20,000.00 in taxes. My questions is can I go after my ex or and the mortgage company for fraud on my ex? He never told me how he got the loan
