Ask a Lawyer and Get Answers to Your Legal Questions
Good afternoon,I'm Doug, and I'm very sorry to hear of your situation. My goal is to provide you with excellent service today. I have been a licensed attorney for more than 3 decades. Please don't confuse excellent service with a satisfactory outcome based on your wants and desires. I can only explain the law to you---not guarantee that you will be happy with the outcome---any more than a cancer surgeon can guarantee a cure.
Under federal tax laws, unless you work in a tax exempt career field where social security taxes are not deducted, then you must pay FICA taxes on any income that you earn, regardless of whether you ever anticipate filing for a socials security benefit. I am sorry. It's just like sales tax. You pay it regardless of whether you ultimately benefit from the taxes you pay in.
