Customer Question

Hello, my question is this: I am looking to become a notary and I have my application filled out. I have not been convicted of a crime, but I do have an arrest and I paid restitution back in 2009 for gasoline theft. The question asked specifically if I have been convicted or indicted. I have not. I am wondering if I should send in my documents and a letter of explanation of why I was arrested or if I should just put no and let it go.
JA: Since laws vary from place to place, what state is this in? And when did this happen?
Customer: MN 2009
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: I have conditions of sentence paper and a receipt.
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: No.

Good afternoon. I am Loren, a licensed attorney, and look forward to assisting you.

Did the matter go before a judge? Did you plead guilty? Were you actually convicted of the charge? If you were not convicted, what was the legal disposition of the charge ?

Also, which state?
