Who is legally authorized to sell a church

Customer Question

who is legally authorized to sell a church

Good afternoon. I am Loren, a licensed attorney for over 30 yrs, and I look forward to assisting you.

Assuming title is held by a not for profit corporation, the board of directors or trustees would be authorize the sale and sign off on any transfer or title.

If the bylaws have additional requirements, such as a vote of the members, then that would need to occur, as well.
