Customer Question

Hello illnijustask,

In Indiana you are allowed to record any conversation so long as at least one person consents to the recording. And this can include you as a participant in the conversation. You do not have to disclose that you are recording. It is a matter of your personal judgment whether or not it would be better or not to disclose that you are recording the meeting.

If you can record is it only good for personal reasons, or use for potential problems in the future. Say mediation or due process litigation

You can use it for any reason. For personal reasons, or for evidence purposes in mediation or litigation.
