Customer Question

I was divorced in Arizona. I was ordered to pay alimony by August 2013. But I finished paying on August 2016 . There are several reasons why I was not able to pay alimony on time and I do not want to go in detail ( My lost job and then found job with lesser pay etc ) . So Question is am I liable for interest for the late payments . If yes simple or compound ? I think I have simple question
Summary example
Monthly payment = xxx
Total Alimony assigned = 30 K
Last month on degree = August 2013
Actual:
Monthly payment less = x
Completed 30K total payment on August 2016 instead of August 2013
By August 2013 I paid 15 K and rest 15 K paid by August 2016
So am I liable for interest on late 15 K
Please do not ask court ordered modified or not and why my ex did not go to court for late payment or why I did not did adjustment etc. Based on the above please provider your expertise
Thanks
