Good afternoon. I am Loren, a Florida licensed attorney, and I look forward to assisting you.
1. No, a father may not sue on behalf of his son, or anyone else. Only the person who you sold the car to would have standing to sue you for any claim stemming from the transaction. Hopefully, you sold it as-is.
2. His recourse is to sue his son, if he has purchased it from him. You have no privity of contract with the father.
If you have no further questions, and have not yet done so, please remember to leave a favorable rating (Excellent or Good) so that I am credited by JustAnswer for assisting you. A bonus is not required, but is always appreciated.
