If you had a in Maine in June of 2012 and haven't driven

Customer Question

If you had a OUI in Maine in June of 2012 and haven't driven scence then and took the deep course, do you still need a SR22? Reason I haven't gone back for lic. was I got bad frost bit on hands and feet so was hospitalized for 3 months. Thought I never be able to drive again. Now my hands and feet are much better but, not sure if lic. is still valid. John

Hello John

This is Samuel. Yes, the SR-22 is usually required for up to five years following a DUI/OUI conviction. You will need to check with DMV to see if your license has been suspended and if so what you need to do to reinstate it. You will need to have an SR22 for reinstatement, however
