Customer Question

I was told by the union I needed to have 10 years vested to receive any retirement payment. I had 12 years service and they say 8 1/2 years vested so I get nothing. I am now 57 and disabled but I have read legally I should be legally vested for something. Please help

Hello there ---Did they give you an explanation regarding why you do not qualify for the full ten years vested ? They must have some reason -- for example, I worked for a company where I worked 8 years in a union position and 4 years in a non union position so I never made the 10 years vested. WHat reason did they give you for it? -MARY
