Sure. What is your question specifically?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Can a physician assistant bill Medicare directly.
Expert:  Asad Rahman replied 10 months ago.
No they cannot. It must be through a provider or agency they work for.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
but if they own their own corporate entity.
Expert:  Asad Rahman replied 10 months ago.
Do they have their own national provider number?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
the corporation has its own NPI and the physician assistant has his number. So it the corporation doing the direct billing for the services the physician assistant provided.
Expert:  Asad Rahman replied 10 months ago.

The corporation has to submit it on the PA's behalf. I did research of this on the medicare guidelines site.
