Customer Question

I let my homeowners policy lapse for one day. It was cancelled and I reinstated it with same company at same cost. Can my mortgage company 'force' insurance on me ? I understand if insurance lapses this can happen , but don't know if this can happen in my instance? Do I face any repercussions?
