Customer Question

I have been working at Florence Nursing home for 4 months. I have been the cook there. I had no prior experience before there working in a kitchen. My husband looked on the internet and it showed that I should have had a training course about the temp, etc. I had no training at all and starting cooking on my first night. I didn't even know to use the gloves for over a week after starting there. Isn't that wrong? There was so many things that I didn't know and they didn't teach me until I made a mistake. Please let me know what I should do. I have been wondering if I should have had some type of training before starting cooking there.
Thank you,

Hi Jennifer and happy Thanksgiving! First the FDA does not have laws that govern establishments with regards ***** ***** cooks. Only the food that comes into the establishment. So this would fall under the rules of your employers. If they do not require training for you to be a cook then there are no issues. Please let me know if you have further questions.
