I am in litigation with school district officials following a termination.
My father believes that he is also being damaged by the actions of the officials.
Can my father sue them separately from my action?

Yes, as long as he was not a party to your lawsuit, he would be able to bring a separate cause of action, typically the cause of action should be different, so unless he was also terminated, this would be treated as a separate suit.

In terms of complications, i do not see much except for legal fees, however, a settlement may be better if the school has two cases to litigate than one, so they may offer more to settle both
