It is because greedy companies see the opportunity to save a lot of money by sending their call centers to third world countries like India or Malaysia where they can pay people $10 per week to answer phones and pay no benefits or not have to deal with unions in the US. So as a result you get poor customer service by people who cannot even speak English so they have no clue as to what people are asking and cannot resolve even the most simple problems customers have.
