HelloThis is Samuel and I will discuss this and provide you information in this regardIt is legal. However, there are permits that have to be obtained by your local health department. Your local funeral director should be able to assist you with that process.

It appears the only thing is the deceased must be embalmed before burial. And that can only be done by a funeral director.Once those laws have been followed, the person can be buried on their own property once the health department grants the permit.
