Hi again Andrea, One last question for you on the small claims

Hi again Andrea,
One last question for you on the small claims agreement. If I sign a fictitious name such as Mickey Mouse to the settlement agreement and it goes unnoticed at the time of signing, it the agreement still binding? Odd question I know but I have been agonizing over this issue all week. Your response is appreciated.

Thelawman2 :

Signing a fictitious name could be considered forgery or fraud because you are signing your name with an intent to deceive.

Thelawman2 :

However, if it is a name that you have previously used and use currently because that is what you go by, then it would not be considered a forgery or fraud; however, the agreement would be binding.

Got it. Thank you.
