Hi,
What is the maximum number of Admissions one party can serve on the other party? Thank you.
Hello and thank you for requesting me. I hope you are well today.

According to Ca. Code of Civ. Proc. 2033.030(a):

No party shall request, as a matter of right, that
any other party admit more than 35 matters that do not relate to the
genuineness of documents. If the initial set of admission requests
does not exhaust this limit, the balance may be requested in
subsequent sets.

As such, the default limit is 35. However, if a party needs to request more admissions, they can petition the Court via a Motion for Leave to allow them to do so, and if there is good cause, the Judge may agree to expand the number beyond 35.

Thank you for your response.

Question:

Total 35 for complaint and another 35 for cross-complaint?

or total 35 for both complaint and cross-complaint?

Thank you.

Hello and my apologies for the wait.

Total 35 for both complaint and cross-complaint.

Again however, with a Motion for Leave, the Court is likely to increase this for good cause.
