The work started last week saturday, $1000.00
Edward,Thank you for your follow-up. At this time, if the delay has only been a few days, it has not yet been enough time to justify getting a new person to conclude the work. You are required to first give the initial person 'reasonable' time to conclude the work and make repairs. If that did not take place, he could argue that you failed to give him enough time to complete his obligation without his fault in this case, and he could therefore demand a full payoff anyway. I would suggest that if you want him to get this done, you give him a time period, such as 7 days, to get in touch with you, and 14 days (or more or less) to conclude the work. Then, if he refuses to respond, and you can show that you provided him with time to get in touch, you could then hire someone else to finish the work.Good luck.
