regarding "change of ownership statement death of real property

This answer was rated:

regarding "change of ownership statement death of real property owner" form for county assessor (los angeles, BOE-502-D):

box indicating property has been sold or will be sold before distribution on page 1

does this mean "intent to sell" and is the court order to be attached a copy of "letters" or
the "order for probate" or ?

RayAnswers :

Thanks for your question and good afternoon. Here they are asking if the estate is going to sell the property rather than distribute it by deed.So if there is going to be a court ordered sale by the personal representative as part of probate here you would attach the letters of the personal representative and the court orders approving such a sale.If the personal representative is to deed it to the heirs then you would not check it because it the personal representative is going to transfer as part of distribution.
