If you are trying to use this for business in Kansas here where he lives you do a Kansas POA but modify the notary signing to South Dakota.

It's necessary to use the Kansas POA then ... and if business is also in South Dakota, then another POA form is necessary?
You may need two of them here if you need to do business in two states, each one meets that states requirements.
