I was later advised that I should have filed an "answer"
When I appear in court they mentioned that the request to dismiss will be denied.

The normal procedure is that when the court grants a motion to dismiss, it will stay entry of the dismissal order until you have had an opportunity to file an answer.

Hope this helps.

So they wont rule until an answer is submitted?

The standard process is that the court considers the motion to dismiss, and then if it denies the motion, it will grant you additional time to answer.

Hope this helps.
