I was hired with a yearly contract which was projected for a three year period this would be the beginning of the third year of that agreement
the changes are not company wide - the remark made on Friday was that I was the first employee being given these set of rules/regulations which I guess suggests that they may do the same sort of thing as other professional employee's contracts become up for renewal
yes this is a public not governmental business

I have one more concern - if I do not accept the offered terms of employment can I than apply for unemployment while I search for another job or am I not eligible since I declined an offered employment opportunity?
is this true even though I do not have a contract at this time
my existing contract ends Monday and I have not signed a new agreement
