Under California Lawis there an equivilent to Federal Rule

This answer was rated:

Under California Lawis there an equivilent to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure Rule 26 which requires the production of evidence to be used at trial to the other party without awaiting a discovery request?
Hi,

Thank you for your question. The California State Rules of Civil Procedure do not have an equivalent to Federal Rule 26. You must propound your own discovery requests in order to get evidence from the other side.

Please let me know if you have further questions on this topic.
