We just received an issuance of foreclosure tonight. We knew this was going to happen but what do we do now?

Once you receive the foreclosure notice, then this starts the count down to when the mortgage holder is going to sale the house. The foreclosure notice should have terms on it that lay out your options as to how you can take the house out of foreclosure.

If you simply do not have any resources to pay the missing payments to take the house out of foreclosure, then you need to prepare for moving out. You do not have to move out immediately. However, if you do not move out before the deadline in the foreclosure notice, you will be evicted. It is better to find an alternative place to move your stuff to and be able to move out gradually, rather than be removed forcibly by the sheriff through an eviction proceeding.

Please let me know if you want to discuss this further.
