Hello, how do you deal with the business that discriminates to people with health disability.for example, I was denied a haircut at this beauty school, due to my psoriasis health condition. It is minor and not contagious. not in any danger to the health of the beauty school. The lady kept on saying, it is the law and that I have an infection. This lady has no clue to what psoriasis and I think she should be educated before she cuts hairwhat is the best way to handle this? Your answer would be greatly appreciated

It is considered discriminatory to refuse to serve anyone on the basis of a disability or perceived disability. The first step is filing a complaint to the VA Commission on Human Rights and also the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division for violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In addition to these complaints, you can sue them for damages including the embarrassment of being denied service and you may want to consider using other than small claims court and you should sit with your evidence and a local discrimination/civil rights law attorney in the area as the case could potentially be worth more than the small claims limits if they are violating the ADA.
