Do I qualify for Medicaid as a permanent resident for the past five years with total absence of 20 months? I am 80 years old staying with relatives and do not have any income in the United States
Optional Information: Person's Gender: FemalePerson's Age: 80What have you tried so far?: I returned to my home country at different times to get medical attention also when I needed attention here someone paid the bill I attend free clinics when they are advertised
Medicaid may be available to a permanent resident of the US who has been present in the US for over 5 years. However, before you qualify, your sponsor's income would be considered because on the sponsorship form they agreed to be liable for your support and medical care. Thus, when you apply for medicaid your sponsor will have to submit their proof of income for a determination of your qualification and they can make your sponsor pay for your care.
