hello. how do i find out if the loan was put in bankruptcy. i found out who the trustee is. but how do i get them to release info to me
Send the trustee a letter asking whether the vehicle loan was included in the bankruptcy filing and list of creditors.
In Va, but the thing is the loan never got attach to the trailer i got the title to trailer and it is in my name, with no lien holder. but he filed bankrutpcy on the the loan itself. and for 3yrs that i was living in his home paying all his bills he just said the trailer is yours. but when i moved out now he to sue me for the trailer. using a peice of paper that has two lines written on it that we sign as a contract
So keep the trailer and the burden will be on him to prove that you owe him anything. You do not need to do anything at this point.
