Hi I had one more question, if you are not legally responsible for the step kid how could your income afect their current medical plan such as medical?

Brandon M. :

Hello again.

Brandon M. :

I am not sure that I understand the question. Why might the child's medical plan be affected by your income regardless of whether you are married to the mother? Is the child on MediCal?

Customer:

Yes correct

Customer:

yes If i'm marry to the mother would my income affect the child's medical plan?

Brandon M. :

The only way it would affect the child's Medi-Cal eligibility is if the mother's resources increased as a result of the marriage. For example, if there is a shared bank account.

Customer:

No there wouldn't be

Customer:

Thank you
