About Civil Rights. In 2008 an incident occured where I was sent home off my job for four months ithout "due process". I have filed a civil rights case with the local commission. In 2011 I was read "the charges" against me and told of a petition that circulated in 2008. I still have not received charges in writing nor copy of petition. In 2011 an Arbitration case was called to by both parties and I lost the arbitration. Upon depending on CRC -Civil Rights Commission, USVI to make these charges stick, they said they didn't understand my answers and therefore the case is being thrown out and I had thirty days to appeal. I appealed in hours and there is noone on the board who is answering to the appeal. I understand the "board" is defunct. What can I do about my case. I US justice office requires that I answer the same questions that I was "evasive" about. What can I do about CRC, VI and they not calling cases?
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): Virgin Islands Already Tried: Called senators called lt. gov office but I want my money which I lose 400+ hours and pay.I called Justice and they were rude hanging up phone etc, i called DOJ Chief Deputy seven weeks now with no response to me so far.
You need to file a complaint in writing about the CRC not handling your complaint to the Director at http://doj.vi.gov/DivisionContent_1.php?divId=90. If the director is not responding to your complaints and the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division is not responding to your complaints, I am afraid your next step is that you would require an attorney to file an actual suit against the employer in the US District Court to seek your redress for damages as a result of this alleged violation of your civil rights.
