DOT Transportation of Hazardous Materials Placarding Question:When a Class 9 Hazmat load is transported and arrives at its destination, can the placards be removed if the trailer has not been unloaded and will sit out in the lot for several days?
Already Tried: Nothing. We have temporary placards and we want to remove them from the trailer and bring them back with us.

Hello. My name is XXXXX XXXXX X will be happy to answer your question. It does appear that as long as the trailers with class 9 hazmat are not being moved and are at its final destination, that the DOT does not require for the trailers to be properly placarded. You can read more about it in this DOT manual:http://www.iowadot.gov/mvd/ods/cdl/section9.pdf
