How can a defendant in a MD Family law case request relief if it is discovered after a Pendente Lite hearing that the Plaintiff lied to the MASTER under oath?
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): Maryland Already Tried: I just recently participated on a Pendente Lite hearing on a divorce case as a pro se defendant.
HiYou will need to file "exceptions" to the Master's decision. This is done by first ordering the transcript of the Master's hearing. You can contact the Master's office and tell them you want to order the transcript so you can file Exceptions. They will give you the information on the cost of the transcript which I believe is about $4 a page nowYou will need the Transcript to file the Exceptions. You can get the forms to file the Exceptions from the Circuit Court in the county where the Master's hearing was held.Once you do that, then you will use the perjury as a reason for the dispute or opposition to the Master's decision/recommendation. You will need to prove that there was perjury with what ever evidence you have. Please note that if you need more information, you can use the Reply to Expert to Continue the Conversation.
