I have had a MRI, have been billed for the MRI (I have not paid) , but for 3 weeks have asked for the results and the telephone calls are not returned. What recourse do I have?
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): Georgia Already Tried: Just phone calls
Hello and thank you for the question. I am sorry to read of this dilemma. What is the reason for the delay?
The doctor's office has not given me a reason, they just say we'll get back to you tommorow. Now they just send me to an answering machine and I can't talk to anyone but the receptionist.
Are you able to visit there in person?
Not for another 3 weeks. I am working out of town. I'm not in constant pain, but I also don't know what is causing the pain and doctor originally suspected spinal injury. All I really want to know is if it is spinal or not and if it is I can seek attention away from home.
Aside from a personal visit, consider daily calls until delivered. Consider having a lawyer place a call for you. Consider a written request sent by e-mail and facsimile as well. Such pressure should get them to respond
