I am an 84 year old lady that recently sold a 1990 cadi to a neighbor. I had the car for sale for a couple of years and it has just sat and not ran for that time frame. My neighbor told me that they wanted to purchase it if it was still for sale. I told them that it needed a new exhaust system and that the air conditioner didn't work. They went ahead and purchased it prior to driving it and signed a bill of sale as is. My question is by WV law do I have to return them the money that they purchased the vehicle with? To add a side note, the vehicle has since been wrecked, got hit in the back while they were driving it.
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): West Virginia Already Tried: I told them no. I wasn't returning anything and it is getting to the point that they harrass me every time they see me on my porch or going to my vehicle.
No. Used cars are sold as is, particularly if that is noted on the bill of sale. There is no right to return it and no requirement that you give them their money back.If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask but please do so my clicking on the Reply to Expert tab.We work for Positive Ratings, please click on one of the top three ratings or one of the Smile Faces, as this would be appreciated.
