What kind of lawer would be best to answer a question we have about the legality of having a funny male stripper that does not go nude in a bar for a party? Does this fall under business law, criminal law or some other catagory? State of Wisconsin. We are considering having a bachelorete party with a themed stripper at a local bar in a reserved room. Who can answer if this is legal.....can we do it leagally in our own home?
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): Wisconsin Already Tried: looking in the phone book or on the internet.
Hello,Thank you for using JA. As long as the stripper does not go full nude or appear in an "enroused state" it wouldn't violate state laws. However, there may be something that could prohibit this on a local ordinance level. So you may want to contact the local county attorney to see if there is anything locally that would prohibit this..Wisonsin Statutes 948.11(1)(d) "Nudity" means the showing of the human male or female genitals, pubic area or buttocks with less than a full opaque covering, or the showing of the female breast with less than a fully opaque covering of any portion thereof below the top of the nipple, or the depiction of covered male genitals in a discernibly turgid state. .The reality of it is that the stripper probably has a better idea of the laws than anyone else as it is their responsibility to comply with any applicable laws..As for what someone does in their own private home, that is not considered a public place so anything goes..
.
Thanks.
