You recently answered my questions about sexual assault accusations. Is there a law that says I must be informed of whether or not charges are going to be filed in a timely manner?
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): Oregon
There is no such law. The charges just must be filed within the statute of limitations of where they occurred. Depending on how and what may be charged, the state would have four to six years to file charges. But, like I mentioned previously, the further out you get from the events, the less likely that charges will be filed. Please remember to only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied.
