If title is held jointly, then both of you would need to sign any documents selling the property. As to vehicles, it depends on if your names are XXXXX XXXXX as "and" or "or." Generally, when title is held by A "and" B, then both must sign, and if title is held by A "or" B then either may sign. For other property that is jointly owned -- if there is no document evidencing ownership (such as a title or deed), then he could sell the property to a third person who has no reason to believe that it is jointly owned. As noted above, if you need clarification, please do let me know. And, again, I DO NOT receive credit for my work until you rate my answer as “OK service” or higher.
