Can my spouse dispute derogatory accounts reported on my credit report on my behalf and if so what do I need to do to give my spouse that authority?
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): Nevada Already Tried: I have tried to dispute online with experian after I pulled my free annual report and experian is requesting I call them personally. I believe it is all an error due to someone having the same name as I do. However I do not have the time to be tied up on the phone and quite honestly I do not have the patience like my wife does to handle these types of things.
Hello and thanks for asking your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX X will be assisting you. Your spouse should be able to use a power of attorney to discuss your account. You can ask Experian to confirm, but this is generally how these things are handled. In fact, even the IRS accepts powers of attorney to have third parties discuss account information on behalf of someone else. A form power of attorney should work just fine.
