my son sold a boat trailer 5 days ago for $590.00. the person that bought the trailer said the trailer is too small for his boat and wants his money back. is the buyer legally intitled to a refund?
Optional Information: Country relating to Question: United States State (if USA): Massachusetts Already Tried: this is ths first day the buyer has contacted my son for a refund.
Welcome and thank you for your question! As a general matter, the buyer has no legal entitlement to a refund. I am assuming that there was no written contract that said that the buyer had the right to return the trailer within X days.Your son can refund the money if he wants to, but the law does not compel it.What are your options now?If you wish to continue this conversation, click on the Continue Conversation link.
