My son will be 18 this month. He is seeing a girl who will turn 15 next month. I am fairly certain that they are engaging in intercourse. with the permission of her mother. I disagree with her decision and have forbidden him to see her. Of course he is doing it anyway, but not while living here anymore. I am concerned that he is committing a crime. Please advise.

If someone is 18 years of age or older and has sex with a 13 or 14 year old minor, that is a Class 4 felony and punishable by 2-10 yrs and up to $100,000 fine.Someone 18 years of age or older having sex with someone age 15, 16, or 17 years of age, is a class one Misdemeanor and punishable with up to one year in jail and a $2,500.00 fine.
