Prior to moving from Washington state to Ohio I purchased a 4 place covred snow mobile trailer, paid cash and left it at my daughters along with my 4 snow mobiles in it. In order for my son-in-law to updates the tabs on the trailer I had him add his name to the title since I was out of state. Now he has declared bankruptsy and the judge said he has to sell the trailer for bankruptsy. This is MY trailer r..... his name was added on the title for licensing purpose ONLY. I wrote a letter to their lawyer explaining the situation but they didn't care. What recourse do I have?.
Optional Information: State/Country relating to Question: Idaho Already Tried: nothing other than writing a letter explaining the situation
You are going to have to hire a lawyer and intervene in the bankruptcy case and assert your claim against the property. Writing a letter to the lawyer does no good you MUST intervene in the actual case because your claim must be decided by the judge and/or the trustee.Thank you for allowing me to assist you.
